About us

Grace Carlson, the owner of Grace Unlimited began her career in 1986 as a business journalist.  Since that early beginning, her professional experiences have been broad and varied, providing her clients with resources and expertise that can accommodate nearly every contingency, industry and unique objective.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of South Florida and is board certified in public relations.  She has directed marketing departments for area companies large and small, participated as a member of creative marketing collaborations, headed up public/media & community relations, and successfully managed an outside sales career.

Because of her long tenure in the local business and creative communities, she is uniquely qualified to “match up” resources and talents to achieve the most effective and desirable results.  Far from being a department of one, she is capable of tapping into an extensive network of freelance professionals with special talents in their respective fields:  photography, graphic design, printing, multi-media resources, and more.  From the clients’ perspective, Grace Unlimited can provide as little or as much marketing support and guidance as a particular situation requires.  It’s like having a marketing doctor who remains on call, making house calls to find solutions for any business development or public relations challenge.

A lifelong resident of Sarasota County, her community contributions range from participating as a member of the Sarasota County Mentoring Task Force to serving on the school board supervisor’s business advisory council.  She is on the advisory board for Florida House and lends her creative talents to promote a variety of ecological and environmentally-friendly issues.  She currently serves as a member of McIntosh Middle School’s Leadership Team and performs other various “mom” requirements for her four school-age children.  Her husband, Michael, maintains a successful architecture practice, Carlson Studio Architecture, in downtown Sarasota.
